Our tour begins in Palermo. The Sicilian capital is a captivating and a multi-ethnic baroque city, where many diverse civilizations resided over time and who left a precious legacy behind them. It’s no coincidence that the word “Palermo” comes from the Greek “Panormus”, which means “all harbour”. Follow the footprints of history through the alleys of one of the biggest historic centres in Europe with its Arab-Norman monuments (included in the Unesco Heritage List since 2015). Let yourself be conquered by the amber lights of the evening and by the intense aroma of saltiness on the Gulf’s shore.

This yacht tour will let you discover the western coast of Sicily, starting from Castellammare del Golfo, a small town which is famous for its characteristic landscape, a mix of soft beaches with ultra-fine sand and rocky coastlines with a pristine panorama. Our yacht cruise will let you explore the harshest and the wildest part of the coast, like the famous Tonnara di Scopello. This is the oldest “tonnara” in Sicily, where, during the 13th-century, large fishing nets were used to harvest Atlantic bluefin tuna. Today is an open-air natural museum, framed by the majestic sea stacks and by the ruins of two ancient towers that reflect in the water of a crystalline sea.

Continuing through the coast, our next stop is the Zingaro Nature Reserve, a protected area where there are no roads or any other kind of interference made by man. The Zingaro coast stretches from Castellammare del Golfo to San Vito Lo Capo, with 7 km (4 mi) of evocative coves surrounded by a turquoise sea. The final stop of our trip discovering the western coast of Sicily is in San Vito Lo Capo, a small town rich with history, between stories of saints, tales of pirates and great natural beauty like its renowned beach, featured on TripAdvisor as one of the most beautiful beaches in Italy.
